The first game Alexander beat Canisteo 4-0.  Stacey had 2 goals, Sid had one, and Kristi had one as well.  Assists went to Alesha, Julia, and Alyssa.  Leslie had 3 saves in net to pick up the win and shutout.  The game saw some nice passing and good movement off the ball.  Stacey, Rachel, Alesha, and Sid were solid in the back limiting shots and Leslie did a nice job stopping anything that got through.  1st star in the game went to Stacey, picked up 2 goals and overlapped well in the game to get a bunch of shots.  2nd star went to Julia who directed traffic up top well and had some nice drop balls to set up some great shots.  3rd star went to Sid who picked up a goal and did a very solid job in the back.

The 2nd game Alexander faced off against Red Jacket and won by a 3-0 score.  Goals came from Julia (2) and Stacey.  Alyssa picked up an assist in the game while Chelsey had 2 saves in net for the win and shutout.  The offense was playing well this game with Julia, Alyssa, Laura, and Kristi all moving the ball well, getting in deep and playing the ball back out of the corner.  1st star in the game went to Julia, had a strong game up top and picked up 2 goals.  2nd star went to Rachel who had a great game in the back, stepped up and hit a could great shots, and stuck her mark all game.  3rd star went to Laura who helped back on defense well, had some nice passing up top, and had a could great chances on goal.

The 3rd game Alexander faced off against Livonia in what was a great game ending in a 1-1 tie.  Sidney picked up Alexander's goal to give us the 1-0 lead.  The lead wouldn't hold up as Livonia had a great play down the left side and put it in the net to tie it at one.  1st star in the game went to Stacey who had several shots that just missed and overlapped down the floor all game long.  2nd star went to Alyssa who was all over the floor and had some nice passing up top.  3rd star went to Julia who was strong up top with her ball movement and some great dribbling in the center of the floor.

In the 1st round of the playoffs Alexander faced off against Hornell and had a fantastic game winning 1-0.  Alexander hit the crossbar twice and the post once or the score could have looked even better.  Alexander's goal came as Leslie saved a shot and immediately rolled it right down the middle of the floor to Julia who went in on a quick breakaway and buried the shot to put Alexander up 1-0.  The lead would hold up as Leslie made 3 saves in net for her 2nd win and 2nd shutout of the day.  1st star in the game went to Leslie, had some great saves and had the play of the game on her assist which put Alexander ahead.  2nd star went to Julia who had some great work up top, picked up the goal that won the game, and had some great passing throughout the game.  3rd star went to Lin who played her best game of the day and had some nice crosses and shots along with some solid help back.

Alexander faced off against Canandaguia in the semi-finals and would end their day with a tough 1-0 loss in OT to get bounced from the tournament.  Alexander had several great chances on net throughout the game but couldn't get one into the goal to go ahead and would get beaten on a great play in the first minute of overtime.  Alexander had solid defensive work from all 4 defenders throughout the game and the right decisions were made on the final play, it just happened to fast for the offense to react back and help out.  1st star in the game went to Stacey who had another great game, had several shots that were high and wide along with a couple indirect kicks that were very dangerous.  2nd star went to Alesha who had a couple great chances in OT but didn't find the net.  3rd star went to Sid who played a very nice game in the back shutting her mark down throughout the game.

In the end Alexander was a bit disappointed with not making the finals and getting a rematch with Livonia, but it was a very nice performance with everyone contributing (Stacey, Rachel, Sid, Alesha in the back, Julia, Alyssa, Lin, Laura, Kristi, Chelsey up top, and Leslie and Chelsey in the net).  The passing and movement off the ball was very nice and there was a decent amount of talking going on throughout the game.
