Alexander had a strong performance in the Newark tournament
coming away with a 2-2 record and losing a close semi-final game to the
eventual champion Addison. Alexander started off the day with a
2-1 win over Gananda with Julia and Anna getting goals and Gabby getting
an assist. Alexander then won a 1-0 decision over North Rose
Wolcott with Anna picking up the goal. Alexander fell to Pal-Mac
1-0 in the final game of the round robin but entered the playoffs with a
game against Addison. Alexander fell behind 1-0 before Anna put in
a goal to make it 1-1. Almost immediately after that Addison had a
great shot that found the net to make it 2-1. Alexander had
chances after that but just was unable to find the back of the net and
the day ended with the 2-1 loss to Addison. All of the girls played well with Jamie seeing her first action since her ACL injury nearly a year ago. Nice job girls, lets keep up the solid indoor performances. |
