Alexander had a great showing in the Medina tournament in
both the AM and PM brackets. In the AM bracket Alexander knocked
off Dansville 6-1 and then beat Notre Dame 5-4 before tying Batavia 1-1
in their final round robin game. We turned around and played
Batavia again in the semi-finals and won 2-1 in OT to get into the final
against Albion where we fell 2-0 to finish in 2nd place. In the PM bracket Alexander went 4-0 in the round robin with a 3-2 win over Cansiteo and Batavia, a 4-0 win over Pavilion and a 2-1 win over the other Batavia team. Alexander had a rematch against Pavilion in the finals and despite falling behind 2-1 they came back and tied the game late before scoring in OT to win the title 3-2. |
