U16 GYSL Recap
| The U16 team went into the GYSL tournament as the 2nd seed
and worked their way through the round robin portion of the tournament
with maximum points and on a roll into the finals. The captains (Maranda,
Julia, and Stacey) had the team focused on the task at hand and after a
thrilling 1-0 win over Pembroke in the finals Alexander had the title
that they had worked so hard to get.
A huge congratulations to all the members of the team that worked so hard in this tournament and all season to build towards the title. A special thanks to Alyssa, Laura, Ginny, and Casey for coming up and playing with the team this weekend to assure that we had plenty of subs. Congratulations to everyone on the team, it was an awesome season, an awesome tournament, and just and all around awesome summer. Tournament MVP was Julia who picked up 4 goals on the weekend, passed the ball through any crack in the opposing defense, and lead the team by example in the center of the field.
